Third
Degree has been together for years and are, without a doubt, some of
the best players around. You are sure to be blown away by the caliber of musicianship,
so anytime you get the opportunity to catch a Third Degree show, be
there! You could book this artist at a metal gig, dance gig, country
gig or any event where you need a "Bad Ass Band. These guys play all types of music and you
can bet you will hear most of these styles wherever they play. For instance, you
might hear some Prince followed by some Foo Fighters, then some Merle Haggard,
followed by Metallica, so it's always an eclectic mix.
There is a bond between these guys that you can see and hear, as they have known each
other for about ten years. Tim Reed is a guitar player that guitar players
should check out, plus hes a great vocalist and overall musician.
Tony Raleigh is a great bass player and also a major part of the vocal
strength of the band. Mike (Smitty) Smith is the man on the drums for
sure, a must see for all drummers and musicians. With backgrounds in
many styles of music, these guys are seasoned players ready for anything
you throw at them.
The band has a lot of road history, touring most of the country for about six years.
They have played the opening slots for country stars such as: George Jones, Waylon
Jennings, Mark Chesnutt, Steve Wairner, Colin Raye, Ronny Millsap, John Anderson,
Toby Keith, Ricky Van Shelton, and many more. After playing for other lead singers
for so long, and getting a lot of headaches from LSD (Lead Singer Disorder) Tim,
Tony, and Mike decided to get rid of the baggage and play some rock-n-roll!
