Two for One featuring Paula LongInstrumentation: male and female vocals, keyboards with sequenced rhythm section; also available with drums and/or saxophone Jeff is a multi-instrumentalist and singer who draws on a rich variety of musical traditions including Delta blues and standard/bebop jazz. In addition, Jeff is an experienced session player/producer who is as much at home in the studio as he is on stage. Jeff has been a professional musician and entertainer since the age of 13 and has performed all over the United States. He has served as the musical director for such successful and diverse acts as the Tommy Riggs Show (during the late 70's), Counterpoint (throughout the 80's and 90's), and The Joe Frates Review (in 1995). Jeff’s bands have opened for such national artists as The Pointer Sisters, Smokey Robinson, Eddy Raven, and Edgar Winter. At present, Jeff functions as musical director &/or consultant for several noteworthy performing and recording entities, including Ramona Smith, Counterpoint, and Two For One. Paula began her professional career - at age fifteen - as a featured vocalist on the Vic Ames television variety show. By the time she was nineteen, she was the featured vocalist with “Smiling in the Dark”, one of the most popular bands in Colorado. Upon her return to Central Arkansas, she took a hiatus from performing in order to raise her children, but she continued work in the recording studio. For several years Paula was the busiest jingle/promo singer in Little Rock, featured on local and national radio/tv ads. She returned to performing during the 1990's and has received rave reviews in a variety of private/public settings, including the Memphis Hunt and Polo Club, the Memphis Summit Club, and the Peabody Hotel (Memphis and Little Rock) and continues to be “first call” at some of Little Rock’s most prominent recording studios.
